Team working, Communication and Personality Styles

This 1 day Workshop involves 3 or more people who work together undertaking Personality Profiling using our Profiles PPI Assessment tool, the results of the Assessment are then explored within the workshop and the implications on Team working and Communication are discussed.

The outcomes of participating in this workshop are that by understanding how our personality affects our behaviour at work, we can understand the preferences of the people we work with and identify potential improvement areas.

Prior to the workshop, participants undertake a 30 minute online assessment

At the workshop we explore the fundamentals of personality and how this affects behaviour at work in terms of team working and communication

We ask the participants do think about where they are in terms of 4 dimensions?

 
We agree typical personality traits and observable behaviours associated with these dimensions and what effects these have in a working environment?
We then relate these personality and behavioural traits to a recognised Psychological approach of assessing behavioural preferences the DISC method

Participants are then given copies of their Personality Assessments using the Profile Performance Indicator (PPI)

4 Scales relating to the DISC are explored plus an additional Scale used by the PPI- Motivational Energy

 

We explore how these behavioural preferences interact with each other and we consider relative strengths

How can I use these to improve team working and communication?

 

We also consider how these behavioural preferences might sometimes be barriers to effective team working and communication?

What do I need to be careful of at times when working with and communicating with others?

 

 

The PPI Assessment process provides ideas for improvement based on the assessment results

 A comprehensive action plan is provided that covers important areas for the individual such as

bullet Quality of work
bullet Initiative
bullet Team work
bullet Problem solving

Additional reports are available for the participants Manager/Coach and an overall Team Assessment Report is available for the Team Leader, this examines how the team interact with each other and the Team Leader and again provides suggestions for improved working (see Profiles Team Analysis)
